All are invited to a town meeting to discuss the planned U.S. Forest Service logging project covering 9,800 acres in Whitley and McCreary counties.

The US Forest Service will share their plans and why they believe this project is good for the national forest and surrounding communities. Conservation organizations such as Kentucky Heartwood will share their perspective on the value of mature, intact forests.
There will be time for the public to ask questions and make comments about the project. The official comment period ends December 5.
