Environment & Energy Leader—The U.S. Forest Service has announced a $16 million investment to combat the rising threat of invasive species across the United States. This initiative, which covers over 100 projects across 37 states and two territories, is part of the Forest Health provision in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The comprehensive plan tackles invasive species through early detection, prevention, eradication, and research, and it funds partnerships with tribes, states, private organizations, and local landowners to address environmental threats like spongy moths, zebra mussels, and the hemlock woolly adelgid.
